WHAT IS A TRIBAL CONVERGENCE GATHERING?

At it’s heart, Tribal Convergence is a FAMILY. Our gatherings have focused on uniting people from many homes to rekindle a sense that we are home everywhere, that we have a purpose and a place, that we are met and seen authentically as we all remember what it is to be truly whole.

As we weave together the diverse stories of our kin, we also unify our common story, the threads that bind us to this rich collective tapestry, fortifying our communities, strengthening our alliances. This is a story of learning, of sharing, of service, of heart, and of celebration at the end of a long day’s work for the legacy we are building for future generations.

Tribal Convergence Gatherings are not festivals in the usual sense. They are the evolution of a festival into a celebratory community participation leadership retreat.

Council

Through our Tribal Convergence gatherings, an intergenerational council of representatives from different tribal regions comes together in solutions-oriented solidarity to nurture and develop local land stewardship & regional resiliency. We practice community coherence through these facilitated meetings sharing our wisdom and collective intelligence.

Indigenous Relations

We come together with deep respect to join forces and synergize our aligned efforts towards a thriving global family. These efforts help deepen individual connections to the land and with each other. We are building connections with local indigenous first nations peoples to invite their participation and/or offer their blessing with the intent of both supporting our indigenous relations and also receiving their tribal wisdoms as we build sustainable models for living together in abundance and peace.

Guardianship

TC gatherings are family reunions of family-by-choice and model a deep sense of guardianship and tribal awareness to help bring safety, respect, and self-responsibility back to our tribes. We also foster and encourage a practice of SEVA or freely offered service to the tribe, the land, our brothers & sisters, and the greater good – a practice which is built into our programming.

Regional Activation

A TCN Seed Gathering takes these principles of Tribal Convergence criteria and weaves them into a local regional essence and focus. The intent is to activate the host region, enhance and improve land based communities in the region, build relations within and between aligned regions, and offer practical tools and resources for mutual furtherance of all regional projects through networking and whole systems design via the Guild System. We are not feeding people with fish from the river. We are teaching people how to fish at the river, and how the river is connected to the web of life beyond the river, and how to discern when they should NOT fish the river, and how to collaboratively find alternative solutions mutually beneficial to all involved for the next 7 generations when that is the case….

Collaboration

This is a non-profit community empowerment mission created and produced by the community, mostly by volunteers. This is a collaboration of leaders of the conscious creatives – like minds from many genres and fields of expertise coming together to build relationships that further our aligned intentions for more harmonious relations with the earth and one another. Held in partnership with local community organizers, we are creating the template for TC events to be held in multiple regions, with greater frequency, and with the flavor and essence of that region featured, along with the values and vision of TCN, in order to support thriving community hubs and regional action.
